Stages of his artistic career

These can be divided into his youthful period, followed by an abstract phase, a short phantasmagorical interlude, then realism and the evolution of a lifetime of artistic creation.

The period from 1960 onwards sees Marc Stockman go through a number of different styles, while never losing the intense quality that characterizes his work throughout.

 

 

1976 marks the time when he reconquers the ‘human figure’, which he expresses in all its profound and tragic intensity.
